After leaving Bitburg Germany I believe there was a need to see
and visit with our Bitburg High friends. The earliest evidence of this
was the 1982 Denver reunion. An ad was taken out in newspapers
USA wide. A pretty good response occurred and Barons from
1971-1974 came together.
In 1985 the Bitburg Barons from the Classes of 1963-1970 got
together for a Dallas Texas Reunion. This would be the first of many
to come. Thanks to the hard work of Terry Hill “67” Jane Nicola “68”
Tony Alves “67” Bernie Tibbetts “65” et al in locating
BARONS ACROSS AMERICA
Early 1996 Ed Fuller “77” had the first bulletin board for Barons
and he published email accounts and messages. This made it ten
times easier to plan Bitburg reunions and stay in contact.
In 1994-1995 Jack Albrecht “70” brought to life the website
Bitburghigh6370. Jack was the webmaster until 2004 when
the duties of webmaster were transferred to Don Cooper “63”
Don managed the website until Oct 2023 until the duties as
webmaster were transferred to Gerry Christich “73”
